Atmospheric Water Generation: A New Access to Water

For thousands of years, we have been collecting and extracting water resources, mostly from surface and underground. With the advancement of technology, then we have water supply systems in our urbanisation, later, we got bottled water and even purifyer at home, but we yet to have control on water resources. Now, we created a brand new water resource, atmospheric water, this was the first time in history we have water resource truly in our hand, so called the Fifth Water Revolution.

Advantages of Atmospheric Water Generation

Accessible

Harvest water from the air you breathing,  even at drought places and deserts.

Carbon-less

Uiltize water vapour from solar desalination in the natural water cycle.

Cost-efficient

Defined the cleanest source of water, the cheapest one to be purified for uses.

Renewable

Thank to solar powered evaporation, atmospheric water is inexhaustible.

Sustainable

Support sustainable development as a reliable water resource.

Promising

Get rid of risk in water shortfall against industrial and agriculural businesses

for Belt and Road Initiative

A more descriptive sub heading.

China has tried to build the land-based Silk Road through its One Belt, One Road policy, which potentially involves over 40 countries. However, it is expected that the revival of the ancient Silk Road will not be an easy goal to achieve because of water conflicts between neighbouring countries involved.

Three Central Asian countries - Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan; are, on the one hand, countries with an abundance of fossil fuel resources. Yet, they have had difficulties accessing fresh water resources. The lack of fresh water has led to several conflicts between the aforementioned countries, especially when they tried to replace the old Soviet water management system.

Due to water crisis, while in the process of building the infrastructure for the “One Belt, One Road Initiative”, China also experienced tensions with Kazakhstan. If such tensions are successfully managed, China could take the leadership as a mediator for water disputes in Central Asia. In turn, this will lead to a successful beginning of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
